A tall order: 2012 by Aaron Draplin

Draplin has given himself a tall order this year. This is one hell of a list to bite off in one year. As Draplin puts it "Just kinda rattling off all the stuff I'm trying like hell to change up a bit for 2012." I think we can all agree, from his travels to field notes... he seems to be doing something right.

Thanks for hammering this out Draplin, much appreciated.

Make your own way!! By Jon Contino

Jon Contino is one of the hand-lettering kings. I am sure most of you have at least one article of clothing from his CXXVI clothing line. If not, what is wrong with you?

Jon didn't know which color way to post, so I put up all three. Who am I to tell you what color to pick? Make your own damn choice!

Thank you Mr. Contino for another great submission.

Stay hungry stay foolish by Two Arms Inc.

Two Arms inc. is Michael Tabie and Karen Goheen, a kick-ass illustration and design team from Brooklynnnnn.

Michael wanted to honer the late Steve Jobs with this resolution. Fitting since it will be displayed properly on your iPhone. No other way to display it.

Great words to live by from a great man. Nice work Two Arms inc. You have done Mr. Jobs proud.

No excuses. Everyone who didn't "get around" to submitting this year should put this on their phone and leave it till next year. Everyone but Christopher, who has snuck this one in just under the wire.

I am amazing at making excuses... you name I got it. This is a damn good reminder. Thanks Christopher.

Work like you don't need the money by Ryan Hamrick

Here is what Ryan had to say about his resolution:

It's easy to take too much direction and fall into the status quo rut, but much more challenging (and rewarding) to strike out and treat everything like a personal passion project.

All that said, I couldn't just let it go without a very important caveat—you've gotta get that money.

Thanks for the resolution Ryan. Hope you make stacks, on stacks, on stacks this year.

Another blank canvas by Rick Murphy

Rick and myself had a hard time figuring out what color to post and which color give just as a link. I thought the simple solution would to just post them all. so I did. My project, my rules.

Even though you may not feel that much difference from Dec. 31st to Jan 1st, it's a whole new year. It's the time to reset or to start over. To view this year as another blank canvas.

Thanks Rick for the great illustration and color. You can never have too much color in your life.

Make Sh*t by hand by Cory Roberts

When I first met Cory he was rocking a fedora and cruising around on a lowrider bike. I knew we were going to be hommies for life after that. With that said, Here is Cory's resolution.

my 2012 resolution is to put the computer down and "Make Sh*t By Hand". Creating more textures and typography. Using found objects to incorporate into the digital canvas. Step away from the glowing box and use these hand for something other then quick keys and mashing the touchpad.

Cory is one hell of a talent out in my home state of Portland, Ore. If you are need of some help, give him a holler. He will instantly make your company a better place.
