Fish can fly by Mackey Saturday

Mackey last year wanted to adventure boldly, and he did from the surf of Hawaii to the mountains of Colorado. I can't wait to see how he is going to make fish fly this year!

"Fish can fly. It seems irrational, unlikely, potentially suicidal yet obviously exciting, which is precisely the way I want to take on 2013. Believe in the unlikely, invest in the risks, pursue the exhilarating, and continue to jump, and even fly for a little, to get a new perspective on the world at hand."

Mackey also pointed out that this works as a great flashlight without having to open up an app. White lock screen; form + function.

Damn fine work, Mackey.

"Life's party, not a punch Card" - NoFx by Two Arms

Here is where Michael and Karen want to take things in 2013:

"The habit and process of making plans, sanctions, and goals, are all daily activities that come with the small business owner's work ethic. We left our agency life, the steady paycheck, and job security to pursue Two Arms because We wanted the freedom to be happy. Two Arms is a living, not job. During our 2013 pursuits of success we want to make sure to always remember why we started doing this in the first place, to be happy."

Congrats on getting married this year. I know that's going to be at least one party for you two.

Refine your craft by Aaron Scamihorn

If someone can talk about craft, it's Aaron. His illustrations are so detailed it almost makes me cringe, in a good way.

Aaron sent his first resolution, then saw it was a little off-center. Probably not enough for any of you bums to notice but enough to drive him crazy. So in the spirit of his resolution, he fixed it up and sent me over a new one.

I am almost certain that in that moment, Aaron's year was saved all thanks to the To Resolve Project. That might be a little bit of an overstatement, but lets just roll with it.

Thanks for the great work and the great craft, Aaron.

Adventure more by Lydia Nichols

Lydia, is one of our favorite Illustrators a doodler and observer. She looks to have a big 2013. Either she is going to be traveling around taking full advantage of what life comes, or she is going to be fighting crime at night. Maybe a combination of both...I'm not sure yet. The year is still early.

Either way, I love this resolution in classic Lydia Nichols' style. Thanks again Lydia for putting in some great work!

Step back by Brian Yohn

Brian literally snuck this one in just...under the wire. I am not sure if he could have sent this anymore last second, but I'll take it. Here is what Brian said about his new year:

"My resolution this year is to focus on what's important and essential in my life. Step back and look what's important. Heath, family, and happiness."

Thanks for the good words and great design, Brian.

Strike while the iron is hot by Shane Harris

This is what Shane had to say about his upcoming year:

"I went with a simplistic saying and design this year. Too often this past year I delayed, forgot, or got distracted from responding to potential work or fun projects. So this year I’m pledging to not allow myself to miss any opportunity, work or play."

Thanks for the submission, Shane.

Play the game by Joe Bacigalupo

Joe B is what I like to call my friend. Mostly because I absolutely murder is last name, when I try to say it. Yes he was in my wedding, but he will always be Joe B.

Joe didn't write anything to go along with his resolution, but I think it's pretty self explanatory.

Thanks for sneaking this one in here, Joe.

Consume less by Greta Ackerman

Greta and I worked side by side during the glory days of Crispin. Literally, side by side. We were so crammed into this little room we were almost sitting on top of each other. I digress. Here is what Greta is thinking about for her new year:

"I've always been tantalized by great clothes, a love affair that began in the 80s with my mom's Spiegel catalogs and Style with Elsa Klensch. I enjoy shopping for clothes (and wearing new stuff!) but sometimes I find myself doing so needlessly. I don't want to be a slave to the consumer culture of always having to have new, always wanting more. So this year, I'm going to buy fewer clothes (maybe even none) and fall in love all over again with the great things I have. Shiny and new, you will be reserved for special occasions and needs. For now, I have a closetful of clothes, and everything to wear."

Thanks for kicking out a resolution this year, Greta.
